What Elegant is all about

We all have our own personal style , each one of us is free to be as creative and daring as she/he likes. Personally , my style depends on my mood at the moment , but mostly i lean more to the girly edgy style.

But this post will be more about elegance and elegant people. You may wonder why I am talking about them since its not really me. It is just lately many people around me tend to claim they are elegant and chic. In all honestly , they aren't even close . So i decided to write a something about it . Let me tell you , I really been searching this for a while now so I am just writing what i believe elegance is all about .

Many people may think being elegant is quit simple and easy , but let me tell you this, Elegant is a life style . Many famous designer commented about this subject , one of my personal favorite was said by Carolina Herrera " Do you know what elegance is? It is not only what you are wearing , it is how you wear it , who you are inside , it is the way you decorate your house , what you surrender yourself with , what books you read and what your interests are." also " Elegance is when the inside is as beautiful as the outside" by Chanel.

❤ An elegant behavior ❤

✤You must carry yourself with confidence. A lot of people aren't really confident but they act confident . " The most important thing a girl wears , is her confident " by ??? ( If you know who said it please leave is in the comment down bellow) . 

✤There is graciousness all over them

✤They pay attention to others . When you talk to elegant people they make you feel important to the amount of attention they pay to you and the eye contact they keep on you . They just make you feel special.

✤They have a warm and sincere smile . It is quit hard to get to meet people with a sincere radiant smile these days.

✤Being polite to every one .

✤Most importantly , Intelligence. Use proper grammar , a broad vocabulary avoid contractions and colloquialisms also enunciate when you speak. Be open minded to other cultures and talk only about subjects you really know or say you don't know much about the topic , your honesty will be appreciated .

❤ Elegant Appearance ❤

I used to think that an elegant wardrobe contains a lot of expensive brands and styles. But i was surprised that it is mostly simple and not so expensive .

✤Wear clothes that fit with a nice clean classic cuts . Avoid over sized or trendy clothes . Make sure the clothes do fit . They should not be too small or too large. Get items tailored if you can to ensure an even better fit.

✤Go for high contrast (Red , white and black for example) or classic neutral colors (grey , beige , navy , plum , emerald green , champagne pink ...) you can also go for elegant color combinations like blue/gold , pink/white , white/team or sea foam .

✤Choose quality fabrics like silk , satin , cashmere , linen , modal.

✤Keep your outfit simple. Not too many accessories or layers. Avoid patterns and pattern mixing. Some of my favorite quotes are " In character, in manner, in style, in all the things, the supreme excellence is simplicity " by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and " Like all magnificent things , its very simple " by Natalie Babbitt .

✤Go for accessories that compliment your outfit without going over the top. Accessories should also compliment your features and physique.
